Design Technology

The efficiency of the CAD system allows plans and drawings to be drawn with greater accuracy and detailed more thoroughly- this means the project is more likely to be completed as the owner had intended. More thorough and accurate drawings also means more accuracy in estimating materials and labor costs and that means that the contractor can quote a more accurate price to the owner. We do our estimating directly from the drawing on the computer screen. The CAD system will tell us the exact size of any part on the building to an accuracy of .001" (or even greater if we need it).

Digital photography allows us to photograph historical buildings and details and then scale those pictures to reproduce those details with accuracy.
